The Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens for Leica L covers at most a Full-frame sensor, has a 9-blade aperture, and features fast autofocus thanks to the A Hyper Sonic AF Motor found in many of Sigma's art series lenses. These autofocus motors are lightning fast and make focusing a piece of cake.
The various coating layers also ensure that the lens has little to no flare and shows minimal chromatic aberration. There are also 13 lens elements that are divided into 8 groups. This gives a clinical sharpness to the lens to capture the best details. However, this sharpness does come with a number of features that you need to take into account when using the lens, one of these characteristics is the sharper bokeh (out of focus). Normally it is softer with fast lenses within this category, but due to the complex composition of the glass it is less soft. 46.8° is the angle of view.
The minimum focus distance is 40 cm. The lens has a size of 85.4 x 99.9 mm and weighs 815 g. Because this lens series from Sigma is so extensive, this also makes it easy to put together an easy kit of lenses that are optically close to each other in terms of characteristics.
